WHAT ARE SOME TIPS FOR GETTING THE BEST PORTRAITS I CAN?

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We take cash, checks and credit cards online. Your photos will be posted online for viewing and prints can be purchased with a credit card.
WHAT PAYMENTS ARE DUE UP FRONT?
With the Standard Photo Session Package, 1/2 of the package is due on photo day. The balance is due upon delivery of the completed package. Other Photo Session Packages have the payments described in the package.
For Sitting Fee Sessions, the whole sitting fee is due on photo day. For Print and Product Packages, 1/2 of the package price is due when ordered and the balance is due on delivery. Ala Carte order payments are due on delivery of the products.
WHAT IS THE SCENE MACHINE?
The Scene Machine is a new addition to our studio. In order to provide a great number of background choices, most studios have to purchase expensive muslin or canvas background and are limited by the cost and storage. It also take a lot of time to change backgrounds during a photo session, so they limit the backgrounds they offer. An other alternative is to use a "Green Screen" like the weather man uses on TV to cut you out and place you on top of a digital (a photo) image. This most often looks fake, and is very time consuming for the photographer, thus making it cost more.
The Scene Machine uses photographic slides (like old slide shows from a projector) as a background. The machine allows the photographer to instantly photograph you and the background together, making it a perfect image. No cutting and pasting. Also, you will instantly see your portrait on a monitor or TV screen and be able to make changes to your pose or expression so you will be able to choose the portraits you want as proofs immediately.
You will be able to easily choose from hundreds of backgrounds while in the studio so you can match your clothing, interests and props to match and changing backgrounds only takes a few seconds. The Scene Machine makes it easy for you to get the style and types of portraits you want.
You should consider selecting the backgrounds you want during your consultation meeting, so you can plan your wardrobe and to save time during the photo session.
DO I NEED A PRE-SESSION CONSULTATION?
The answer is usually yes. In order to make your experience a great one, we need to discuss your clothing, make-up, props etc. and get a feel for your style of portraits. This can be done on the photo session day, but will result in rushed decisions. Also during the consultation meeting you can browse our backgrounds and make clothing decisions in advance while taking your time. If you simply cannot meet prior to your photo session, I will make every effort to insure that you still have a great experience and get great photos.
WHAT DO I BRING TO A PHOTO SESSION?
Bring your car, hobby examples, musical instrument, uniforms, awards, friends, family, pets (you must bring someone else with you to take care of your pet while we are shooting other photos). In other words, make the photo session ABOUT YOU!
WHEN WILL THE PROOFS BE POSTED ONLINE?
The digital proofs of your photo session will be available for viewing online within 1 week.
IS THE ONLINE VIEWING PASSWORD PROTECTED?
Yes. We will give you a password, which you can hand out to anyone you want.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY PACKAGE OR PRINT ORDER TO BE DELIVERED?
It will take no more than 3 weeks from the date you make your final selections for you order to be delivered. Some book orders might take longer depending upon the workload of the publisher, but in our experience, it does not take any more than 4 weeks from the order date.
Rush orders for all or parts of your order can be done for an additional 25% and full payment of the rush order in advance.
CAN I BRING MY OWN MUSIC TO LISTEN TO DURING THE PHOTO SESSION?
YES! Please bring your own CDs and I will play them in the studio during your photo session. This can be a nice way to relax and enjoy yourself during the session.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
I don't know. If you have questions, I have answers. If I don't have answers, I will try to get them. If I can't get the answers, then both of us will be lost.
